Bar’s Leaks Cooling System Repair has twice the cooling system repair performance of other products by not only stopping cooling system leaks, but also adding future protection. It’s scientifically formulated to stop coolant leaks, thereby reducing antifreeze loss, while correcting other cooling system problems and helping to prevent costly repairs and breakdowns. In addition, Cooling System Repair contains Xtreme Cool™, which stops overheating and reduces water temperature.

DIRECTIONS

NOTE: Cooling systems that are dirty or partially clogged should be flushed before usage. Protect from freezing.

Install only in a cold engine. Shake well. Pour entire contents of the dual-chamber bottle directly into the radiator. If direct access to radiator is not available, install in reservoir/overflow tank. Fill radiator overflow tank to proper level and reinstall cap. Drive/idle engine for 15 minutes. If leak continues, second application may be required or mechanical attention is needed. Leave Cooling System Repair in cooling system for continued protection. Depending on the cooling system problem, results will either be immediate or noticeable within two (2) days or 100 miles of driving.

I cannot thank you enough

Hello, first I have to say that you are life savers. Words cannot express how thankful I am to you for your product. I am Lori and have not a clue about cars. I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze, and every time I would drive it, I had to put water or antifreeze in it and the temp gauge was teetering the danger zone every minute. Had to constantly keep an eye on it, drive with heat on and window down.

I stopped at my mechanic's one day. I lifted the hood and he looked from about a foot away (because he was working on another car) and said "it is a cracked cylinder head". I was devastated, I cried for 2 days. I only have 4 payments left after 7 years and I am attached to my car. He said it is not worth fixing it. So, I have to make it last until it's paid off in Feb. Or pay someone to take all the parts off and part it out. Sickening.

Well, I Googled my problem and Bar's Leaks came up. I went to AutoZone to buy your product. The guy that worked there said if it was a cracked head, it would be smoking out the exhaust, a milky residue would be around the motor and or you would have only been able to drive it for 2 or 3 days. There isn't any smoke, no milky residue, and I have been driving it for 2 weeks. He thinks it is the water housing. So I bought the Cooling System Repair part number 1150.

It was so easy , just poured it into the coolant overflow and let it idle for 15 mins. WOW! It did not have to put in a drop of water after the 15 min idle, it was not ready to overheat. So happy. I have driven it twice since then and still have not needed and water .. and it is driving so much better. When stopped at a light I cannot even hear it running, just like it was when it was new. Simply amazing! I tell everyone about all your products. Not many have heard of them like myself so they are very interested. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

2 years later, still no leak

I used your 2-part Cooling System Repair #1150.  I bought a 15-year-old Ford Ranger with 135,000 miles. The water pump gasket had broken down, I used this product and 2 years later there is still no leak.

Got me to my campground, fixed overheating

I had a radiator leak in my 1983 Nissan Sentra while heading out on a camping trip. Halfway to the campground, my car started to overheat. I got to (then) Kragen's Auto. I picked up a bottle of Bar's Leaks cooling system repair, topped off the radiator with coolant. Made to the campground and back home with no issues of overheating.

The only product I will use

I have used Bar’s Leaks Cooling System Repair (#1150) as well as other Bar's Leaks products on various vehicles for about 50 years. It is the best and only product I will use.

I have an older Subaru Outback. One day a few months ago, I noticed my temperature gauge was almost to the top. A mechanic friend had shown me a trick of turning on my heater to the max, which made the gauge go down some. I immediately drove home. That night I looked for (or had?) a $10 off coupon for any Bar’s Leaks product.

The next day I took my car to get antifreeze topped off. Right after I went to auto store and used the coupon to buy Bar’s Leak Cooling System Repair, product number 1150. I then had to wait a few more days or a week until there was enough room to add it to my radiator. My friend then checked it out and following the directions, put it in my radiator.

It worked and I have not had any overheating problem since! I love this and another Bar’s Leaks product I used with my previous car, a Chrysler, which also was leaking water into my oil, I think. That was also an amazing product which I bought because of a rebate associated with it. Now, I will always use Bar’s Leaks and I continue to recommend it to family and friends.

Thanks for the thoughtful review, Elizabeth!

Bar's Leak Cooling System Repair.

Bar's Leaks Cooling System Repair is absolutely amazing! A leak developed while I was about 15 miles from home a few weeks ago. I had water with me and was able to find water along the way to get home. Toward the end of the drive home, the engine was leaking about 1 gallon per mile. That's a substantial leak! A few miles before I arrived home, I stopped at AutoZone and bought two bottles of Bar's Leaks Cooling System Repair. After two and a half days of driving and keeping the radiator filled with water, the carbon fibers slowly did their magic. The leak has absolutely stopped!!! Thank goodness for Bar's Leaks! I now have some breathing space to allow me to determine if I'm going to repair the leak myself, pay someone to do it or obtain a different vehicle. As I'm retired and on a fixed income, the breathing space Bar's Leaks has given me is welcomed.

The engine cooling system temperature is absolutely normal. The heater is working normally. The transmission cooler within the radiator is functioning normally. I can see no adverse reaction to the Bar's Leak Cooling System Repair.

I've become Bar's Leaks greatest advocate! I've posted a testimonial on my Facebook page. I tell total strangers about it. If I had a big bumper sticker I'd put it on the tailgate of my pickup.

The vehicle is a '97, GMC, Sierra 2500, 2WD with the 5.7 liter, Vortec engine. The leak appears to be coming from behind and underneath the alternator on the passenger side of the engine. As I'm getting no coolant in my engine oil, I'm thinking the leak is coming from the intake manifold only. As the Bar's Leaks has relieved me of a stressful burden for the time being, I'm going to step back and take a breath before I dig into the source of the leak.

THANK YOU BAR'S LEAKS!!!!

Magic!

I don't write reviews unless I am very impressed. My oil cooler on my 2011 Dodge Avenger started leaking gallons of coolant. Needless to say, my mechanic quoted $800.00 for a full repair. This product took care of the problem for under $10.00! I am a lifelong fan now! Thank you for this wonder product!

Bars cooling repair

Honestly I've used tons of stop leak products in the over 100 vehicles I've owned. Bar's Leaks hands down is only one to date that did as they claimed. Am planning to use it on my low budget work truck to solve any issues because I work them to death. Thus far a leaking water pump gasket on my 02 5.3 Tahoe perfect fix without costly loss road time. I had 3 holes and a massive 3 inch slow leaking crack in my '00 Silverado 5.3. Fixed all of it. Beat it to hell and never an issue from cooling system.. Will be using oil leak and trans leak formulas on budget truck I prior mentioned and will. Glady continue to update with it as well as mention how happy I am with this company's blends that truly stopped what others failed to do prior.
