Reduces noise and remedies hard steering caused by power steering fluid leaks. How does a chemical formula repair a power steering fluid leak? Internally, pumps whine, gears have play in them, valves stick, seals leak and the fluid quickly breaks down. Our team of chemical engineers has developed a power steering fluid leak repair product that reconditions the systems and stops the fluid from seeping out. Safe, easy and affordable – with tens of thousands of bottles sold nationally, this is a power steering repair formula that’s stood the test of time.

DIRECTIONS

Adding to existing power steering fluid to seal leaks:

Remove power steering dipstick and check reservoir fluid level. On most vehicles, the reservoir is on or near the belt driven power steering pump. Consult owners’ manual for location if needed. If fluid is low, pour equal amounts from the two chambers into reservoir. At least half of bottle should be used. Do not overfill . Check fluid level again. Top off with manufacturer’s recommended power steering fluid as needed. Replace dipstick and drive 5 to 10 minutes to circulate fluid.

To control slack, reduce noise & squeals, and smooth out hard & tight steering (morning sickness):

Use entire bottle. TIP: If necessary to prevent overfilling, drain or siphon some power steering fluid from reservoir before using. Depending on the power steering problem, results will either be immediate or noticeable within (2) days or 100 miles of driving. In seriously damaged power steering systems, a second treatment may be required. In this case, it is suggested that the power steering fluid be changed and a second application of Power Steering Repair be added. Changing Fluid If using Power Steering Repair when changing power steering fluid, add entire contents of bottle. Then top off with manufacture’s recommended fluid to proper level. Drive vehicle and recheck fluid level.

Works great

I own a 1989 Jaguar XJS V12 and it had a power steering leak. I tried a competitor, and the leak was still present. I purchased a bottle of Power Steering Repair and since February of this year, 2022, I check it weekly and there is no leak. Great work and thanks.

Stopped my power steering leak within 50 miles

I used Bar's Leaks Power Steering Repair (1600).

The power steering pump was leaking on my 1990 Lincoln Town Car. I followed instructions and after driving the vehicle for 45 miles the leak had stopped. 👍

Bar's Leaks is the GOAT

I have used the Power Steering Repair many times in old power steering pumps on Fords - ‘97 F350, ‘90 F150, ‘98 Ranger.  I have also used the radiator / cooling system sealer on my 1981 Jeep Wagoneer.

The power steering pumps in my old Fords make a lot of noise when they are low on fluid or dry.  The Bar’s Leaks product would over a few tries to stop the leaks and tone down the noise.  The Radiator / cooling system sealer was used on a small crack on my copper radiator on my ‘81 Jeep Wagoneer.  I put it in in 2011 and it is still sealed to this day.  No additional problems.  Thanks for that - I could not find anyone to repair the radiator in my locale, and I didn't want to move from copper to aluminum with a replacement.  The Bar's Leaks worked so well, I haven't had to deal with it, and I use it in extreme weather.

Totally fixed my steering

I have a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. The pump was making a grinding noise every time we turned.  Drained and refilled system, still grinding. Used the Power Steering Repair, and within 3 days no more noise. Worked great.

Power Steering Fluid Loss

My Volvo S40 with over 160,000 miles on it was making noises that initially I thought were front brake related, but my shop said it was a steering racks that was shot and leaking. I see remanufactured racks for about $200 but thought to try the products on the market available at the parts store. I tried one (can't remember what) and it was like pouring it through a sieve, though I could never see much under the car. I then decided to try this Bar's Leaks product a shot and night and day! It actually stopped the leaking somehow and the fluid in the reservoir stayed up very nicely. At least this gives me more time to thoroughly research the worn and leaking rack, but it also might be a longer term solution. Thanks!!!

Your Amazing product

I am blown away by quickly and effectively the power steering repair (PSR) worked. The horrendous sounds as well as the jerky stiffness, me watching people’s head turn towards the noise… I discovered PSR purchased and poured. Oh my goodness how fast and beautifully it worked. My ride on home was lovely. Thank you very very much.

All I can say is FANTASTIC!! Your Power Steering Repair additive is just that. Before adding your additive I could hardly turn the steering wheel...Now it is as if I just paid the several hundred dollars the mechanic wanted to repair my power steering.

With over 30 years experience as a licensed private investigator, I rely on hard evidence before giving information in court or to a client and I am at a loss to tell you how very pleased I am with your products.

I have used your radiator stop leak products but had never heard of your power steering repair product. And as far as I know you have never advertised it. I have no idea as to how these miracle additives work but I have the hard evidence they do. Thanks for your fantastic products... (P. S. - In my business one has to use inconspicuous autos and two that I use are running great with your products.)

I have a 1998 Cadillac Deville, with 80K miles – the rack & pinion had been replaced by Cadillac around 40K miles while still under warranty, as the original rack & pinion “shuttered” as I turned corners at low speed normally while the engine / fluids were cold. The car now is out of warranty, and I now am experiencing “morning sickness” when I start the car after it has sat overnight - the power steering is hard to turn at startup. After discussing the problems with the staff at Bar’s Products, and my special thanks to “Fred”, I added Bar's Power Steering Repair - Part Number 1600 - and the power steering “morning sickness” has gone away. Again, I wish to extend my appreciation to Fred & the staff at Bar's Leaks, for their concern & their ingenious products.
