Jack Oil with Stop Leak (HJ12)

I use a HF 1.5 ton aluminum floor jack at home for general maintenance, after 19 years it began to leak (pump piston seal) and leave a small puddle whether it was being used or not. I added some Bar's Leaks jack oil, bled the air out, cycled it to the full up position 6 times and it stopped leaking and works perfectly! I recommend Bar's Leaks jack oil, it worked great for me!

So I was spending wasted hours trying to figure out why my Brand New floor jack from my favorite tool store Harbor Freight doesn't pump up (I did loan it to someone that may have been screwing around with the jacks various adjustments). I tried other oils, being cheap, thinking its an oil issue but still no good - jack doesn't lift up. So I oughta know by now that I have to follow SOP meaning follow instructions, use the right product for the job, do it right & done with.

At that moment of clarity, I rushed the house to my favorite auto supply - Auto Zone -  and got my favorite 'go-to' product Bar's and I know this brand from various applications in the past on radiator & engine repairs. Bar's does what it says it can do - it works. That's the truth- it works! So I got Bar's Jack Oil, the right stuff for the job. It even has stop leak which saves you time, saves the tool and can save your behind as well if you need to get a job done or buy time. Well, I got home and literally in a few minutes, popped the cap on my Bar's Leaks Jack Oil, inverted it into the oil port on my floor jack, let the oil fill the jack till excess oil came out the open/close valve (remove the turn bolt), bled out air and then replaced the open/close turn bolt, pump it up & I mean my floor jack is UP 90 Degrees, standing tall, sporting a rock solid lift (Bar's is like Viagra for floor jacks!), and then I lowered it, pressed on the oil port rubber valve to release any residual air & pumped it up again...perfect fully erect, nice & tall! This jack is ready for some action! So next time you come across something needing hydraulic fluid, don't waste time monkeying around. Get Bar's & its not expensive - get the right stuff for the job & done with. Right!

My floor jack had begun to seep oil and would not hold pressure, I put Bar's Leaks Jack Oil in it and now it no longer leaks and will hold pressure.  It's good stuff and did the job for me.

You people are geniuses! Over the years, I have used your various products with 100% success! I had a floor jack that "died" and was going to put it out for the trash. BUT, I saw your floor jack "fix it in a bottle" and tried it. Still batting 100%! Since I am in my mid-fifties, do you have anything that stops memory leaks?

I have used this product on my snowplows (I have two) and each time it repaired the small hydraulic leaks and conditioned the plows for yet another season. I know these will die eventually but so far this product has kept me going two seasons past what I expected. Thanks you guys have saved me a lot of money.

This stuff works! I loaned a floor jack to a friend who didn't take care of it. When he returned it the carrying case was broke and the jack was leaking. I continued to use it for a period of time before it would not raise past half height, making it almost useless. I was about to throw it away but bought this product while out one day. I drained the remainder of the old fluid and replaced it with Bar's Leaks Jack Oil with Stop Leak. The jack works perfectly again. Thanks for saving me about $100 bucks for a new jack!
